During the week of 23 to 26 November, the 5th Iberoamerican Biennial of Design (BID) took place in Madrid, a biannual celebration held at the Design Centre at the Matadero in Madrid. A meeting point for design professionals and institutions from Latin America, Spain, and Portugal, where design in its many disciplines (fashion, interior design, art…) is reflected in the countless proposals and projects, alongside conferences, workshops and displays.

In parallel to this unique event, at the same location, an exhibition of the very best in international contemporary creativity in 17 categories will be on display until early January. The exhibition’s objectives include promoting the Iberoamerican culture of design, publicising and disseminating the work of professionals and companies, and helping people and social institutions to understand the culture of design. A chance to discover the most interesting design there is from home and abroad, and one you should not miss.
